
Booking Your Holiday and Sending Payment
To make an enquiry to obtain further information prior to booking, please CONTACT US.
If you would like to book one of the walking holidays shown on our website :-
1. Please complete the BOOKING FORM. | Online Form | Download Word document | Download PDF
2. On receipt of the Booking Form we will confirm tour availability including accommodation and respond to you as soon as possible, normally within 3 days - or sooner if specifically required.
3. Deposit - We request you forward a deposit payment for your walking holiday. A booking is accepted when the deposit (or full payment) is received. A deposit is 25% of the total tour cost.
Full Payment - For B&B's and Guest Houses, the remainder of the payment may be made on arrival for your break, - or if specifically requested bu us.
For Hotels and Self Catering Cottages or other larger priced breaks where we need to pay accommodation costs in advance, full payment is requested 30 days prior to the start of the tour.
5. Cancellation - Cancellations must be made in writing/e mail.
Deposits - Deposits are non-refundable less than 30 days prior to a tour start date.
Full Payment - Apart from a research and administration fee relating to the work done on preparing your walking break, subject to the policy of accommodation places, we will refund the full payment remainder.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Following acceptance of the booking, you may pay for your holiday by the methods indicated below.
United Kingdom Customers
Payment by personal cheque only please. Cheques should be made payable to 'Galloway Holidays'.
Overseas Customers
Paypal
We provide an option to use the Paypal payment system. This is our preferreed method of payent for customers not paying by UK sterling currency. Please click on the Paypal Payments grey icon below to proceed. If you do not have a Paypal account, please CONTACT US and we can send an invoice via the system which guides you through the simple payment process.
Cheques - Checks
We prefer payment in UK Pounds Sterling. Your local bank can arrange a Sterling cheque (check) for you. They will normally add an administration charge.
We can also accept payment by personal cheque, drawn on your own bank account and in your own currency, but to do so we need to add the equivalent of an additional 15 UK Pounds per transaction to cover UK bank charges. We have been members of the former Dumfries and Galloway Tourist Board, and now market with 'Visitscotland Dumfries and Galloway' for several years.
We comply with The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992. Your deposit is held in an independent trust fund until your holiday has been completed.

Insurance
It is recommended that you have travel insurance to cover cancellations, accidents and repatriation if necessary, personal injury, medical expenses, loss or damage of luggage and contents.
